SHADES OF A SIDRA

3:30 PM. She’s here. Her and her inherited nostalgic stories of a past so far yet so vivid you can touch it. The smell of tangerines slowly take over the perfectly casted shade of the Sidra tree rooted in the bedouin soil of a nomad. Stories begin to flow as she stops midway only to begin singing. Passing on what has been passed to her. Generation after generation. Mid-song she stops as emotions arise and tears flow. We’re overflowing with a vivid remembrance of half stories, and half songs.
